| Kaneel - I've sketched it a while ago |
|
I’ve Sketched It A While Ago is French musician Guillaume Richard’s first commercial release, and we’re proud at Apegenine to debute another great talent. It would be easy to dub this release ‘ IDM’, but just as Kaneel’s been showing in the netlabel scene for years now, his music is much more than drills and bass. Under the overlaying fuss of glitches and hectic beatwork, Kaneel’s subtle music sinks into nostalgia and tenderness with his explorations into pop melodies. ‘Naïve’ is a term often used to describe Guillaume’s tracks; unstable and ecclectic yet dreamy and welcoming, the result is a sometimes chaotic feud of cuteness and destruction and other times, anthems to blowing bubbles and inspecting clouds |
